hi lovers

jes and i just got back from yummies and beers with higgins in the city and then harry potter movie and one more beer at nowhere the gay bar in the city that was full of straight folks

larry is still meowing fyi. its making me crazy.

jes just took a look at my last post and let me know i missed two very important things (i imagine as she thinks on it she will point out other omissions, but for now you get two).

1. our first meal of 2006 was at none other than waffle house. yep, you got it. and it was delish. i had some extra crispy hash browns with cheese and a pecan waffle. to drink i had a tomato juice. jes had the same kind of hash browns, raisin toast and grits with sugar at which time both sarah and kim told jes to hand over her "southern girl" card. sarah got the patty melt sandwich with some hashbrowns and kim got the philly cheese sandwich with hashbrowns. wait, i may have gotten that wrong. sarah will post and let me know. basically, sarah's meat was like cut up sirloin and kim's was a meat patty. i think. either way, they liked what they got and it was all some kind of meat and cheese and maybe onions or something on bread. yeah waffle house.

2. our trip home was hellacious. clearly i had blocked it out. our flight from atl to charlotte (on route to nyc) was cancelled b/c of tornados or some shit. they sent us over to delta for this other flight. by the time we got to the counter to get our boarding passes it was too late. so back over to us airways we went on THE OTHER SIDE OF THE FUCKING AIRPORT. oh, did i mention we were rocking our BRAND NEW LUGGAGE? yeah we went to kmart and got one large rolly and two carry on rolly suitcases. so we had that AND each of us had a backpack. mine weighed twelve thousand pounds b/c i had my dinosaur of a work computer on my back. that felt GREAT on my sunburn feeling new tattoo i tell you. anywho back to the fucknuts at us airways where we wait for an hour to get a ticket on a 5:30 plane to newark, new jersey (best we could do). the flight took off at 9pm. for real. but at 7:30 they were all "GET ON THE PLANE WE HAVE TO TAKE OFF IN TWELVE MILLISECONDS" so jes is RUNNING from bk with her fake burger sandwich and i am holding both our bags in line. and then we sit on the plane for about an hour. that felt good. also we got a huge beer at the international concourse at like 2pm and sat next to a not so nice white german woman who could speak little to not english UNTIL she began to yell and chastise the young black woman for being rude and not bringing her a dish that looked exactly like the menu. the server woman was like "it doesn't come with lettuce anymore" and the german woman is all "i talk to your manager" and then she called her a shit in german. its the only word i know. at first it was making me very nervous b/c she was thisclose to us, but after half my giant beer, i didn't care so much.

jes has reported a third thing to me:

3. on wed jes decided to go to vinyasa yoga with me and was like "its just stretching, right? and i was like "you are going to die" and guess what? she got her ass beat. she was bright red, sweating her balls off. now she knows the joys of yoga. i told her if she keeps at it, she will look like madonna in NO TIME.

hell to the yizzah

tomorrow night we start our L Word viewing with the supper club kids. they have a very strict "no talk" policy during the viewing. i am bringing toothpicks to chew on.

Kim had the patty melt. I thought about it, but ultimately had to go with the philly melt. As for Friday night, I can't recall what we did or you did or anything about it, really. Sorry.

Dude, how could yall forget we spent Friday night running from the skinhead scary dudes that sat next to us at Astoria (I'm sure that's not the correct way to spell that, is it?!)

Thanks, Peach. I can't believe we forgot. And it's Estoria, by the way.
